GALLERY

The gallery shows pumpkins carved by many different artists. Designers' names are included to help you find out where they came from. Difficulty ratings give you an idea about the level of experience recommended to attempt a carving. A number scale is used where each whole number will probably require 1 to 1.5 hours to carve. For example, a pumpkin rated "2.0" will probably require about 2-3 hours.

See "Types of Pumpkins in the Gallery" below for the types of pumpkin examples in this gallery.

Hint: use singular words to search for. For example to find carvings with cats, type "cat".

TYPES OF PUMPKINS IN THE GALLERY

The different types of pumpkins you will see in the GALLERY are described below. Most of the pumpkin designs can be carved as any of the three pumpkin types. You can have a pumpkin carved for you, or request a pattern and try carving it yourself. If the pattern design is not mine I'll try to tell you where it came from.

Real pumpkins:

Typically lasts 2-7 days, 2-8 weeks with care
and refridgeration. (Instructions provided)
Available and carved seasonally.
Recommended for 1 season use, or parties.

Artificial pumpkins:

Made from realistic faux pumpkins. (Click to see Fun-kins)
Recommended for classic and super intricate designs.
More expensive, but last forever!
Can be carved anytime and shipped anywhere.

Solid skinned pumpkins:

Typically lasts 2-6 months. Pumpkins are left solid
so that NO refridgeration or care is needed.
Available and carved seasonally. Recommended for
designs you want to last the entire season.

Mockup pumpkins:

Pumpkin designs shown in 2 or 3 color format.
While not an actual carved pumpkin, mockups give you
an idea about how a design will look when carved.
